Critique 2023—Starts Tuesday, April 4 for four consecutive weeks

With over 20 year of teaching experience, I help artists transform their art into stronger, more impactful paintings.

Join our group of only 6 students  to receive positive critical feedback in a small group environment.

The limited size of this class ensures that you will get individualized attention.

With Critique you will:

  • Improve your art

  • Learn to evaluate your art better and more consistently

  • Assess your photographic references differently to improve your paintings outcomes

  • Talk about your artwork comfortably in a safe and nurturing environment

  • Receive step-by-step guidance to improve your paintings

  • Have access to session videos that you may download and keep forever

Do you struggle to see how to improve your art?

I get it. It's hard to see our own work with fresh eyes. My critique sessions will help you. By pouring over your art, I will let you know the steps to take to improve the composition, color, technique, and more in your paintings.

What students are saying...

"It has been so inspiring working with Lynn! Her knowledge of color and technique in multiple mediums had been a tremendous asset. Lynn's artist sense of composition is always spot on. What a positive, supportive, and uplifting teacher she is!" ~Louise C.

Your Mentor

Lynn Goldstein

I have spent decades working to improve my art, and would have loved to have had a steady guide to help me along in my artistic journey. Instead, I had several college instructors that discouraged me. That is one of the reasons that I decided to start teaching. I wanted to be an encouraging voice to help uplift other artists and help them to feel great about what they were producing. I have been teaching art to adult learners for over 20 years, and have been a professional artist during that time. Additionally, I worked as a tour guide at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery for over two decades, and have spent my entire life going to museums as well. As a result, I have years of experience studying art by the masters. I incorporate that knowledge in all of my classes.

This is a great opportunity to improve your art without even leaving your home.

Class starts Tuesday, April 4 at 10am ET and lasts for 4 consecutive weeks/ $190

FAQ

  • How often do we meet?

We meet one time per week on Tuesday mornings from 10-11:30am Eastern time.

  • Is there a structured format?

The critique sessions CAN be structured. Each week the students who want to do so may concentrate on specific art-making principles that are provided in weekly lessons.

  • Is there spontaneity as well?

Yes! Artists who have been in the group in the past, or artists who wish, work on what moves them. This program is designed to meet each artist where they are.

  • How exactly does it work?

Each week students send Lynn images, Lynn studies the images individually, and we discuss each piece together as a group. Lynn provides contemporary artists or artists from the past as examples to consider, and Lynn makes image adjustments on the art for everyone to see and discuss. We have so much fun!!
